Nextiva Event Manager Overview

Nextiva Event Manager automates event notification, video distribution, and process activation in line with each organization’s security policies. Event Manager helps improve situational awareness, expedite emergency response, and increase the effectiveness and reach of security personnel throughout the organization.

This sophisticated, rules-based software application is fully integrated with the Verint Nextiva networked IP video portfolio, for easy interoperability with all Nextiva devices and Nextiva open platform integrations.

Automated Event Management and Response

When an event is detected, Nextiva Event Manager can automatically initiate activity according to the security policies that an organization has in place. For example, Event Manager can:

  • Send detailed alert messages to pagers, cell phones, Web browsers, physical security systems, and IT management consoles.
  • Direct live or recorded feeds to video walls and consoles.
  • Record specified cameras at higher frame rates, initiate camera sequences (tours), run preset Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) positions, and bookmark event video.

Wizard Based for Easy Setup, Modification, and Management

Nextiva Event Manager features a built-in wizard for setup, modification, and situation/response management. With Event Manager, authorized administrators can configure automated responses based on significant events, such as entrance/exit breaches or network failures. These “scenarios” can be triggered by devices and applications, such as motion detectors, contact alarms, access control systems, video analytics, and system diagnostics.

Nextiva Event Manager lets administrators configure automated responses to an array of system events. Wizard-assisted "scenarios" let authorized personnel customize Nextiva to accommodate business rules for their local and remote sites.
