Case study – ITS for Trams

Architecture design and implementation of integrated ITS solution for the 30+ trams to be modernized for a Romanian municipality.

The on-board integrated ITS system consists of complete video surveillance system using cameras covering both outdoor and indoor of the tram, automatic passenger counting system based on video based technology sensors providing >97% accuracy, entertainment system composed by LCD displays for media content playback that can be automatically uploaded from the depot through WiFi connection and audio system for passengers audio announcements.

The ITS solution will be integrated with vehicle on-board computer, connections being realized through the vehicle's IP network supplied by Alfred Net.

Case study - OnBoard Ticketing System

Designing architecture and deployment of on-board ticket validation system for one of the Romanian public transport operator. Solution consists of 4 ticket validators and one controller per vehicle. Solution is installed on a fleet of 24 trolley-buses.

Case study - OnBoard Video Surveillance

Installation of mobile video surveillance solution for 350+ railway coaches for national railway passenger operator in Romania. Solution fits each wagon with 6 vandal-proof mini dome cameras and one mobile 6-ports mDVR. Robust and reliable solution, secures passengers journeys and protects operator’s assets since 2007 and decreased significantly vandalism and criminal actions. Railway police is one of the major users of these systems that represent for them a powerful tool for catching the villains.
